Each October, historic Old Town Warrenton closes Main Street for its annual Fall Festival — a day of art, music, food, and strolling entertainment that has been named one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeastern United States. Now in its 47th year, the festival lines the district with juried artisan booths, food vendors and food trucks, civic-organization stands, and live performances, drawing families from across Fauquier County and the wider Piedmont. Organized by the Fauquier Chamber of Commerce, it runs 9 a.m.–3 p.m. and is a signature kickoff to the region's fall festival season.
