Explore the Farms of Beautiful Rappahannock County
- Admission
- Free
The Rappahannock County Farm Tour is a free, two-day, self-guided driving tour on the back roads and byways of Rappahannock County. Visitors travel at their own pace, exploring working farms, vineyards, orchards, apiaries, and artisanal producers while learning about sustainable agriculture against the breathtaking backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Activities range from hayrides and farm-animal encounters to pick-your-own apples, dressage demonstrations, polo matches, regenerative agriculture talks, beekeeping demos, and wine tastings. The tour changes slightly each year as new farms join and returning favorites come back. A printed guidebook with a full-color map is available at the Rappahannock County Visitors Center, participating farms, and local shops, and can also be downloaded from the website. The Farm Tour is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and is entirely volunteer-organized.
