Thornton River Trail (lower trailhead)

A stream-following trail in Shenandoah's North District reached from SR 612 out of Sperryville, winding along the North Fork of the Thornton River past old homestead remains and stone walls from before the park's creation. Longer loops connect to Piney Ridge, Neighbor Mountain and Hull School Trail.
