Sky Meadows State Park

An 1,860-acre state park of rolling pasture, woodland and a historic farmstead on the eastern flank of the Blue Ridge, with roughly 22 miles of hiking trails, 10.5 miles of bridle trails and about 3 miles of the Appalachian Trail running through the park. The red-blazed Piedmont Overlook Trail climbs to a hillside meadow with sweeping views across the Piedmont, and 18 tent-only campsites sit a mile in via the Hadow Trail.
