Chop House Bistro brings the celebrated farm-to-table dining experience of LOCAL Chop & Grill House — originally founded in Harrisonburg in 2009 — to the scenic town of Luray, Virginia, nestled in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. The restaurant is committed to sourcing the freshest seasonal ingredients from local farmers and regional suppliers, crafting a menu that honors and showcases the agricultural bounty of the Valley. Guests can expect elevated bistro cuisine prepared with care and creativity, complemented by thoughtfully crafted cocktails and a well-curated wine list.
The culinary program is led by Executive Chef Ryan, a Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts graduate whose impressive career includes stints at the Inn at Little Washington and acclaimed restaurants in Pittsburgh and Atlanta. His farm-to-table philosophy and deep respect for local producers have shaped the restaurant's identity since its earliest days. Whether you're popping in for a weekday lunch or celebrating a special occasion over dinner, the warm and inviting atmosphere welcomes all — no dress code required.
Dinner reservations are strongly recommended, and the restaurant accepts bookings by phone or through OpenTable. Guests are also welcome to bring their own bottle of wine (corking fee applies). Walk-ins are welcome at lunch and at the bar counter for dinner.
